How to use this tool
The Ashton Manual and many deprescribing guidelines generally recommend reducing your dose by no more than 5% to 10% of yourcurrent dose every 1-2 weeks.
As your dose gets lower, the cuts naturally get smaller. This "exponential taper" helps keep withdrawal symptoms manageable as you approach zero.
- Current Daily Dose: The total amount you take in a day (e.g., 0.5mg).
- Reduction Percentage: The size of the step you want to take (usually 5-10%).
